Primary / KS2 tutoring

Patient, purposeful online support for Years 3–6: building understanding, confidence and a useful learning routine.

Start with the learner, not a test score

KS2 covers Years 3–6 in England. Children can need support with a particular idea, reading confidence, written explanation or the transition to secondary school. We use recent school work and a relaxed conversation to identify the next useful step.

Maths and English foundations

Parents can request science or another subject in the enquiry form. Course fit and the availability of a suitable tutor are confirmed individually; a request is not a guaranteed placement.

An age-appropriate lesson

Use short, varied activities, concrete examples and discussion. The tutor moves between explanation, guided practice and an independent attempt, with space for movement or a brief break when appropriate. A full hour need not mean an hour of uninterrupted screen work.

Year 6 and secondary transition

Support can revisit maths, reading and relevant school feedback alongside Year 6 assessments. It can also help a child explain their thinking, organise practice and feel ready for the greater independence of Year 7. We do not guarantee SATs scores or offer an assumed 11+ programme.

Parents stay involved

For younger learners, agree a parent-assisted setup, the lesson platform and how a parent can be reached. Keep independent practice small and specific. Feedback should describe what the child understood, the support needed and one manageable next step.
