VERITY LEARNING
Online safety
Practical expectations for safe online lessons.
Before the lesson
Use a parent-approved account and agreed platform. Check the connection and materials, protect meeting links and use a suitable learning space. A parent or guardian should know when the lesson is taking place. For younger KS2 learners, agree a parent-assisted setup and keep a parent reachable during the session.
During the lesson
Keep communication professional and learning-focused. Do not share passwords, private meeting links or unnecessary personal information. Use age-appropriate materials and agree how a parent can contact the service if something feels wrong.
Recording and AI tools
Lessons are not recorded by this website. If a lesson provider proposes recording, transcription or an AI-assisted report, explain the purpose, provider, access and retention first and establish the appropriate permissions. Do not upload sensitive student information to public AI tools.
Raising a problem
Leave an unsafe interaction and tell a trusted adult. Report unwanted contact, inappropriate material or a technical privacy problem to the safeguarding contact. Keep relevant evidence without redistributing it.
