A revision plan you can actually follow.

Make room for practice, feedback and rest.

STEP 01

Start with the course, not a colour-coded timetable.

Use the topic list from your teacher or exam specification. Mark what you can explain independently, what needs a prompt and what you cannot yet do. This is your starting point, not a judgement.

STEP 02

Choose a small, specific target.

“Revise Maths” is too broad. Try “solve equations with brackets” or “plan a paragraph comparing two poems”. Choose a few priorities for the week and make each session about one task.

STEP 03

Use a simple practice cycle.

Spend a little time reviewing an explanation. Close the notes and answer a question. Check your working or reasoning, then correct the error and try a similar question. Keep a short list of mistakes to revisit.

STEP 04

Plan a week you can repeat.

Fit short sessions around school, lessons and other commitments. Mix subjects and leave some space for catching up. For example: Monday — equations practice; Wednesday — English paragraph; Friday — revisit errors.

STEP 05

Review before adding more.

At the end of the week, ask: What can I now do without help? What still needs attention? Adjust the next week accordingly. If the plan was too ambitious, make it smaller rather than abandoning it.
