Complaints

Raise a concern so it can be reviewed and addressed.

Tell us what happened

Contact the service with the date, tutor or lesson reference, a factual description and the outcome you would like. Avoid putting unnecessary sensitive student details into an initial message.

How a concern is handled

The service should acknowledge the concern, review relevant information, hear the people involved and explain the response and proposed next steps. Ask for a review if the response does not address the issue; the operator should explain who will review it and the expected timescale.

Safeguarding concerns

Do not wait for the ordinary complaints process if a child may be at risk. Use the safeguarding route immediately. In an emergency call 999.

Records and fairness

Keep relevant communications so the matter can be reviewed fairly. Complaint records should be private, access-limited and retained under the operator’s record policy.
